Actually it is. Each rock is different with bumps and sections that don't work well with the paint. If you look at the Fluttershy one you will see what I am talking about. That rock had tons of holes in it so the picture wasn't crisp. I enjoy the challenge though. It's fun.

Ah I see what you mean!  It almost looks like pumice stone that one! :wow:  It looks like a perfectly painted picture on a very pitted rock to me so you did extremely well!  Painting is nooooooot my forte and I admire anyone who can do it! :wow:  Well done and yes it should be fun too! :aww:

There is a nice trick you can do. Get some carbon paper and use it to trace an image onto something. You can't really do it with rocks, but if you wanted to practice painting, it's a good place to start. A lot of my paintings, I sketched, fixed on the computer, then transferred it to my canvas, then painted. Lots of steps, but it works.

He he - I've tried all the tricks but I just end up getting frustrated! :P  Most of my family paint but I guess I lucked out on that talent! :P  Thanks for the tips though - I really appreciate your vote of confidence April! :aww:

If it doesn't resonate with you, maybe it just isn't your thing. Do what makes you happy. You are talented in other areas. <3 your pictures. I'm off to bed now. Have a good evening Kaori Smile Icon
